Redemption

God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Judge. The creation around us (the beauty of a sunset, uniqueness of a snowflake, complexity of the human eye, and natural laws that govern the universe) is clear evidence of a Creator. The logical mind will conclude that a building is evidence of a builder, a painting is evidence of a painter, and the earth is evidence of a creator. In each of us, there is a conscience to accuse us of wrong. When the conscience is violated, guilt occurs. This guilt remains and increases until the wrong is made right.

Man is in basic conflict with God.  Man is in conflict because of violation of His holy law, the Ten Commandments. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not bear false witness. Thou shalt not covet. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Furthermore, Scripture tells us that to offend in one of these commandments is to be guilty of all. To say it simply, your sin has made you unfit for Heaven. You stand before God a sinner condemned by His Holy Law and your own conscience. Your self righteousness further provokes His wrath. You will be punished on the day of judgment. Your only hope is to repent and ask God for His mercy.

God will grant mercy Mercy is given because Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died on the cross to save you from the wrath to come. He was punished for your sin that you might be made righteous before God. As the Bible puts it, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). Believe in Him and ask Him to save you. Trust Him as you would your family doctor. Then read the Bible daily and thank God for what you learn.
